Our Approach
The protection of your data is extremely important to us. We follow an approach of data minimization: We actively try not to collect personal data or to reduce its collection to the absolute technical minimum. If you have questions about how we work, we are available at any time.

Hosting & Infrastructure
To offer our services securely and in compliance with data protection, we rely on specialized providers who meet our high standards for security and privacy.
1. Data Collection on our Website
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages collects and stores information automatically in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are usually:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address (usually anonymized)
These data are not combined with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Contact Inquiries (Email)
If you contact us by email, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Document Tools (Briefcraft, PKH Helper)
The PKH Helper runs entirely in your browser: the PDF is generated on your device and no form data is transmitted to us. Briefcraft also composes your letter in the browser; only when you download a PDF/DOCX is the composed letter content (sender, recipient, subject, letter text) transmitted to our server (api.sntiq.com) for rendering. The rendering service is stateless: the data is processed solely to generate your document, is not stored and is discarded immediately after the response. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (provision of the function you requested).
The place and authority lookup in Briefcraft sends the place name or postal code you enter as a search query to our server (api.sntiq.com) in order to determine the competent authority or court. These queries are processed statelessly and are not linked to a profile.
Cookies & Local Storage
Our website uses only technically necessary cookies and similar device storage. We currently use no analytics or tracking at all: the cookie banner records your choice, and that record would only become relevant if an optional, strictly opt-in analytics feature were introduced in the future.
The following is stored locally on your device for functionality only and is never transmitted to us:
- Display preferences: theme, high contrast, large text, reduced motion
- Your language choice (also mirrored in a cookie for one year, so pages load in your language)
- Your cookie-banner decision and one-time acknowledgements (e.g. the Briefcraft notice)
- Optional form drafts in PKH Helper and Briefcraft (sntiq_draft_pkh / sntiq_draft_schutzbrief) — stored only if you explicitly enable draft saving, and deletable there at any time
2. Your Rights
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have a right to demand the correction, blocking, or deletion of this data.
Furthermore, under Art. 77 GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
